In the woods stood a charming little house. It was not much, just a couple of stones on top of each other. The roof was full of green grass and in spring it would have all kinds of colourful flowers. The main door was barred, to keep people out, but it had a smaller door through which animals could come and go as they liked. It also had a perfect big window to look through during the daytime. As ‘tiny’ as it was, it was perfectly fine for Mr. Whisker all by his lonesome self.

The story of Mr Whisker

Mr Whisker was created to share artwork and stories from the Whisker Foundation, a wildlife rescue center in the Netherlands. The stories are based on real life rescues and situations we encounter on a daily basis. By sharing we want to give insight in our work, and show in a light and humorous way how we rescue animals and why we do it.

All proceeds go directly to the Whisker Foundation, so by enjoying our art you directly help rescueing hedgehog. Isn’t that amazing?!

Jules - Hedgehog

Being a young hedgehog is difficult enough. When you get stuck in garden netting whilst looking for snacks, it definitely does not get any easier.

Marty - Squirrel

Marty is very special to me. This young squirrel fell from a tree and had a severe concussion. With lots of effort and love we managed to release him again!

Mcbunnersons - wild Rabbits

When you are digging you never know what treasure you might find. Sometimes it is gold, sometimes it is rabbits.
